The CDP/Awards Committee needs your help. We are collecting the IPA forms from chapter members for the calendar year 2009. Were you more active in the chapter this year? Or perhaps you're a new member who would like to be recognized for your membership? Check out the form to see what you've accomplished!! You'll be surprised by what you can earn points for.
Complete the handy self-calculating electronic 2009 IPA Form and then email it to our Awards Chair Steve Femal at Steve.Femal@boldt.com. Deadline is soon, so please complete and return this form by April 15.
There are LOTS of ways to accumulate points. For instance, by just being an AITP member will earn 1 point! By attending an afternoon educational session or the after-dinner speaker you earn another 1 point for each. Attend just one meeting you could earn 3 or more points! WOW!
Here some other ways to earn IPA points, many of which you are doing already, but don't even realize. Such as:
• Taking in an afternoon educational session or evening dinner speaker,
• Visiting another professional or student chapter AITP meeting,
• Being a Boy/Girl Scout computer merit badge counselor,
• Attending various AITP conferences,
• Speaking at chapter meetings, education sessions, or other business associations on IT subjects,
• Working on one of the subcommittees of the chapter,
• And many, many more!
You can earn a maximum of 45 points per year, so your participation in various chapter activities can really add up! Please take the time this year to fill-out the 2009 Individual Performance Award Form Don't let your efforts go to waste, even if you do not care about the personal awards, our chapter earns awards and receives financial benefits from National AITP for your efforts.
The levels of Individual Performance Awards and the points required are as follows:
- Bronze IPA - 100
- Silver IPA - 150
- Gold IPA - 200
- Emerald IPA - 300
- Diamond IPA - 400
- Double Diamond IPA - 500
- Triple Diamond IPA - 600
- Quadruple Diamond IPA - 700
- Lifetime IPA - 800
- Lifetime Gold IPA - 900
- Lifetime Emerald IPA - 1000
- Lifetime Diamond IPA - 1100
